... and the Winner of our Music Video Contest is: Clip #39 - Die Konkurrenz made by Yvonne and Evander from Independence High School in San Jose, CA
After a long deliberation the Step into German jury consisting of representatives of the Goethe-Institut San Francisco, the Goethe-Institut Chicago and AATG’s headquarters in New Jersey has reached a unanimous decision:
The Grand Prize, a three-week language course at a Goethe-Institut in Germany, was awarded to music VIDEO #39 “Die Konkurrenz” produced by Yvonne Lee and Evander Eroles (Independence High School, San Jose, CA).
Second Place was awarded to music VIDEO #25 “Drück die 1” produced by Jenna Atkinson, Maria Juarez, James Cavanaugh, Juan Hernandez and Maria Montanez (German 3/4 class at Long Prairie Grey Eagle High School, Long Prairie, MN).
Third Place was awarded to music VIDEO #36 “Durch den Monsun” produced by Olivia Baranowski, Dawn Cilingin, Jennie Ebaugh and Hannah Geiger (Holland Middle School, Holland, PA)
Making this decision was very painful. The jury was completely impressed by the quality of all the music videos produced by German students from around the country. All contestants deserve our utmost respect and admiration for the little works of art they’ve created. We thoroughly regret that there can only be one Grand Prize winner. But there will be a new Step into German contest in the upcoming school year with another chance for all the participants to win exciting prizes!
